Korean Studies Assistant (KSA)

The Korean Office for Research and Education (KORE) is seeking a graduate student at York University with a sustained interest in Korean studies to support the project’s activities in Fall 2022 and Winter 2023. Applicants must be enrolled in a masters or doctoral program at York University in Fall 2022 and Winter 2023.
The student will receive research training through supporting project team members. The KSA will assist in preparing and completing educational and scholarly workshops and seminars (e.g., event poster design, website updates, on-site/online event support, etc.). The KSA will also be responsible for assisting with writing the annual report.
The goal of KORE at York University is to strengthen Korean studies research and education activities and to initiate a series of workshops and conferences to engage in dialogue with other area studies and disciplines.
Qualifications:
1) Excellent communication and organizational skills
2) Proficiency in Korean
3) Basic WordPress and photoshop skills
4) Academic background in Korean studies or related disciplines is an asset.
The assistantship will commence on September 1, 2022 and end on April 30, 2023. The assistantship is valued at $7,500 CAD.
